“Success comes from great teams,” Coach Bruce Brown of Proactive Coaching told the Seattle AIM Consulting team on Monday. Brown came into the office to share his wisdom on building and being part of a successful team, gleaned from a storied career as a sports coach and athletic director.
Brown focused on integrity as an essential characteristic of a great team member, a point that got the AIM team members thinking about how they can identify integrity in potential partners, candidates, and co-workers.
Integrity, meaning that you will do exactly what you say you will, always give your all, and can be depended on, is a feature that makes you a desirable team member. Going into a job interview or a meeting, it’s difficult to express your integrity in words.
One suggestion made by AIM team members was to tell a story that demonstrates your integrity, another suggested stating it outright.
What is your best way to get across your integrity in a meeting or interview?

Having fun is part of our mission statement. We hosted a couple big gatherings for friends, professional colleagues, associates, clients, and family of AIM. The first party was in August at the beautiful Arlington Heights Race Park on a warm sunny Chicago summer day. The second was held in October on a cold sunny day in Seattle at Paul Allen's Experience Music Project museum in the shadow of the Space Needle. We had a blast mixing and mingling with the whole AIM Consulting Family in a couple of unique settings. Stay tuned for 2012 party plans.
