Mike brings extensive experience in practical IT service management and ITIL. He possesses a primary orientation toward solving big, thorny business problems and aligning company resources to tackle them. He has led stabilization initiatives for major enterprise systems like Siebel, PeopleSoft and Facets.

Background

Experienced in the wireless telecom and health insurance industries, Mike was recently VP, IT Infrastructure & Information Security Officer for Premera Blue Cross in Seattle. He spent 12 years in leadership roles working with ATT (Cingular Wireless, ATT Wireless & McCaw Cellular.) Mike implemented service management for infrastructure services including network, storage, data center and end-user computing, and successfully deployed most major service management platforms such as Remedy and CA Service Desk.

He is a graduate of Iowa State University and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Interests

Mike and his wife Lisa reside in Seattle with their children. Mike is a frequent speaker and blog contributor (http://ooluck.com) and co-author of the book, ‘Achieving IT Service Quality: The Opposite of Luck.’
